In a world with no heroes, what would the point be? This world is made up of many things, much too numerous to be named in one sitting. However, they should be discussed and thought on, and put into practice. As for now, Hero.
A hero gives his life to, or lives his life for, an honorable task. This task or ideal does not have to be a grand, drawn out quest like so many think. Once this is understood, it can also be understood that anyone can be a hero, be it father or mother or child or elder. Even someone as small and easily swayed as I can be one.
Important to realize is the concept to understand that, very rarely, does a hero actually think of him or herself as such. Rather, the person simply does what they know to be right and true when the situation arises. There is no self-glorification, and little or no more accepted praise than is required without being rude.
Those who accept such praise, and continue to flaunt such things, quickly lose status as heroes. This status can be reclaimed though, through true understanding and turning back to what is right and just without the purpose of self-aggrandizement.
Heroes can be healers, helpers, listeners, and warriors. There is all manner of beast and demon in this world to fight. Be it physical or spiritual, emotional or mental. Heroes are sometimes born, sometimes made, and sometimes unknown.
The irrevocable truth, however, is that all are needed, all are important, and all do what they can to better the world and people around them.
